The South by Southwest (SXSW) festival is the place to be in March, and Intellirent wouldn't miss it for the world. We made our way to Austin to represent the intelligent future of real estate tech for five amazing days last month as part of SXSW Interactive.

Everyone (including your retired uncle who lives in Duluth) knows SXSW for music (in fact, it's the largest music festival in the world), and most people know that SXSW Film hosts an amazing line-up of independent films. We think, though, that SXSW Interactive is the best kept secret of the whole festival. It is the place to be to connect, network, and find emerging ideas that will revolutionize an industry or even change the world.

The speakers featured are amazing (hello Joe Biden) and the topics are thought-provoking, even mind-blowing (from a discussion on the reality of basic income to a start-up pitch on synthetic DNA). SXSW encourages open discussion, sharing of ideas, and a chance to grease the wheels of networking with social mixers, lounges, and parties (yes, it is as awesome as it sounds).

Among the line-up at SXSW Interactive are start-ups and innovators--like Intellirent--who want to share their vision with the world. Intellirent was there to introduce our revolutionary real estate listing platform to an even wider audience, and we rocked it. We encountered so many engaged, intelligent people who identified with what we are building, and we formed valuable connections with other influencers and creative leaders.  Most importantly, we were able to share our vision of a more innovative and efficient future for real estate listing.

Connecting creative people to each other and spreading their ideas is what makes SXSW Interactive so unique. It's what the festival does best, and it's why we were there. We are already looking forward to next year, and we hope to see you there too!
